Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Countdown

The pack of hundred and ten international yachts is in the final phase of grooming for the seventy-first edition of Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race that will begin on 26th Dec, Saturday, in Sydney Harbor, Australia.

Teams from 28 countries are assembling at Cruising Yacht Club of Australia and the Race Village as this well-known race, which is one of the highlights of the sporting and social calendar of the country.

Precision, planning, and more importantly practice, are the important thing in preparation for this. It is regarded as the most postulating offshore races in the world and would see the squads sail over 628 Nautical Miles to the end-line in Hobart, Australia.

JPK 10.80 Courrier Leon, captained by French national Giry Trentesaux, is looking to the challenge. Trentesaux said that he is now 57 years old and this is very important for me to relish a couple of top races across the world each year. The 2 time veteran of the race added that the Rolex Sydney Hobart was already on their schedule but of course with their overall win of Rolex Fastnet Race, he was highly motivated to put together a strong team for this race. The crew includes Alexis Loison, the winner of the 2013 Rolex Fastnet Race and Michel Quintin, who is an ex Windsurfing World Champion.
